Dry Eyes

Dry eyes, a common condition affecting millions of people, is caused by an insufficient amount or quality of tears that lubricate and nourish the eyes. It can result in discomfort, itchiness, redness, and sensitivity to light.

Several factors can contribute to dry eyes, such as age, gender, certain medications, environmental conditions, and underlying health conditions. It is crucial to identify the underlying cause and seek appropriate treatment to manage the symptoms effectively.

Common treatments for dry eyes include over-the-counter artificial tear drops, prescription eye drops, warm compresses, and lifestyle modifications such as taking breaks from digital devices, increasing humidity levels, and avoiding smoke and windy environments. In severe cases, other interventions such as punctal plugs or in-office procedures may be recommended.

If you are experiencing symptoms of dry eyes, it is essential to schedule an appointment with us for proper diagnosis and treatment. With the right care, you can manage your symptoms and maintain healthy, comfortable eyes.
