When you come to see me for a pair of Tom Davies bespoke frames, we will follow the guidelines of the Tom Davies bespoke design consultation. The bespoke design consultation starts with getting to know the you. What do you do professionally? What kind of lifestyle do you lead? Do you have any problems with your current frames? Or do they simply not quite enhance your natural features? I will then take a series of measurements to ensure a perfect fit of the frames selected. These are then sent to the design studio where the eyewear is designed and submitted to be made in Tom Davies’ new London factory.
Tom Davies produces all frames by hand, so every step of the process is meticulously controlled. This ensures flawless quality and the highest level of craftsmanship. Finally, all bespoke frames are finished with the name of the customer engraved discreetly on the inside of the temple arm, making each bespoke frame truly exclusive.
I also had the unique opportunity to design some frames for our own store, known as The Rio Collection. The frames feature an array of pure titanium and acetate to suit every face shape. The styles are unique to our optical store. I draw inspiration from the sunny beaches of California, my regular patients, and from Rio (my delightful and quirky toddler).
The collection is still growing, with each piece taking months to painstakingly design and manufacture. I would also love to design a bespoke frame for you with your input on color, lens shape, size, and material!
